Timothy Froude
P.Geo.

Director, President and CEO

Tim Froude is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and has been active in the mineral exploration business for over 30 years. Over that time, he has worked with a number of highly regarded firms including Inco Ltd. where he spent nearly 10 years working on projects in North America and overseas and was part of the team that discovered the Bobby’s Pond massive sulphide deposit in Central Newfoundland. Tim is also directly responsible for the discovery of the Valentine Lake gold deposit in Central Newfoundland, currently under advanced stage exploration by Marathon Gold. Over the course of his career, Tim has worked for a number of successful junior companies including Altius Minerals Corporation, Cornerstone Resources, Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corporation and Golden Dory Resources, the latter three companies as VP of Exploration. He also spent 1 year serving as Executive Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chamber of Mineral Resources, now Mining NL. Tim now serves as President and CEO of Sokoman Minerals Corp.

Cathy Hume

Director, VP Corporate Development

Cathy Hume has built her career in Capital Markets first as an Investment Advisor for 11 years and in the Investor Relations industry since 1993. Cathy’s integrity and personable personality has fostered enduring business relationships and has permitted her IR portfolio of clients to grow exclusively from referrals.

Over the years, Cathy has volunteered by supporting several not-for-profit organizations and professional associations. In the late 1980s she sat on the Board of Directors of the PDAC and the University of Guelph. She was Co-Chair of Women In Mining, Toronto branch, and an instructor of Ryerson University’s course “Resource Valuation, Financing, and Investor Relations” offered by The Chang School of Business as part of its Certificate in Mining Management. 

James Adams
Ph.D., CFA

Director

Based in New York, Dr. James Adams has more than twenty-five years of financial industry experience at J.P. Morgan serving corporate, public and not-for-profit clients across regions and businesses. In his most recent role as Managing Director in Markets & Investor Services, he led Asset Owner sales and relationship management across all aspects of the investment portfolio, engaging with CIOs and COOs and their consultants as well as delivering emerging technology solutions. Prior to joining Investor Services, Dr. Adams spent fifteen years in interest rate and foreign exchange risk management advising multinational clients in corporate finance and risk management, as well as five years with the firm in Europe. Dr. Adams recently left J.P Morgan to pursue teaching, consulting and advisory opportunities and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Risk Engineering at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering. Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from The Ohio State University and has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2001.

Peter M. Dimmell
P.Geo.

Director

Peter Dimmell is a geologist and prospector who has been involved in mineral exploration in North America (Canada, Mexico and the US) and overseas for 47 years, working with Noranda and Lacana and host of juniors. He is a professional geoscientist (P.Geo) registered in NL and ON and is a Fellow of Geoscientists Canada (FGC). He is a past president (2004-06) of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), a past Chairman, past executive director and past director of Mining Industry NL, a member and past councillor of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC), Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), and an associate member of the Association of Applied Geochemists (AAG) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). He has sat on the Boards, and associated committees, of both TSX and TSXV listed companies and is currently a director of two public companies, both listed on the TSXV: Pele Mountain Resources Inc. and VVC Exploration Corp.

Colin R. Bowdidge
Ph.D.

Director

Colin R. Bowdidge was educated at the University of Cambridge, where he received an M.A. degree in geology, mineralogy and petrology, and at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a Ph.D. in geology.  He is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Ontario, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and has been an independent consulting geologist since 1974.  He has worked on a multitude of exploration and development projects worldwide in the search for base and precious metals, uranium and industrial minerals, in a wide variety of settings. He has served, and continues to serve, as a director and/or senior officer of several publicly traded mining and exploration companies.
